Bibliophile South Asia is headed by Ashok Butani who retired in 2002 as Chief, Acquisitions (South Asia) of the Library of Congress Office, New Delhi. He laid down his office after a long stint with LC for over 33 years. At the Library of Congress, he also looked after the acquisition of over 40 research libraries in the United States under the South Asia Cooperative Acquisitions Program (SACAP). Before joining LC, Mr. Butani worked with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) for about 10 years as a Copy Editor and in-charge for production of their research reports. His long distinguished career has made him a well known name in the academic and publishing world. |
